There was a lot going on the day we took our oath of service. The kids we serve and other kids just like them were running around, being crazy in the background. The community was gathered to talk and eat and share with one another. Taking my pledge might not have been very much about me, but I guess neither is my year of service. I'm grateful for the reminder to serve each moment with an open heart to those around me and an open mind to whatever might happen. -Megan
