At school, they really push us to have high expectations for our kids. They remind us that lowering expectations shows the kids that they aren't worth the effort we'd have to put in to believe in them enough and support them enough to achieve the high expectation. But keeping up those expectations, and hopes and dreams, for my kids can sometimes be a greater feat of strength and faith than I had imagined. All the same, I will continue to fight for those expectations and fight to believe in them. -Megan
